Description
This goldwork and lace skull women’s sweater is an extravagant version of our regular gold work skull women’s sweater. It has a relaxed fit. The sweater is embroidered with a very special embroidering technique, goldwork embroidery. Everyone praises this traditional embroidery for how it captures and plays with light. The embroiderers cut the metal wires by hand to the precise length. They use these little strips as beads to embroider it in a set out artwork in various ways and stitches.
Besides the gold work skull, this women’s sweater is decorated with lace applications and 3D lace flowers. The lace comes in green, purple, blue, black, and coral. There are also ribbon details in magenta and a soft pink. The lace applications have some gold coloured beading.
A detailed sugar skull artwork decorates the front panel of this black women’s sweater. We choose for the sugar skull image as its not only a reminder of the passed away loved ones but also a reminder we live now in the present and that we should enjoy life as it comes to us. The Rorschach test is the inspiration behind this special piece.
The embroidery is hand work, which makes them slightly differ from each other. This makes them unique. The goldwork and lace skull women’s sweater has a lowered shoulder line, which adds to the relaxed fit of this item. It also has a back center seam.
How to style this goldwork and lace skull women’s sweater
This women’s sweater is a true eye-catcher with all of its details! It can go over a more basic bottom to focus the attention on the details in the sweater. It is perfect to create an all black look with, or add something colourful.
Combine the skull sweater with a fun black asymmetrical skirt. Even a straight skirt will do just nicely. Finish it off with a black boot with track sole to get a tough look or a pair of heels for some extra elegance. Also a pink skirt will be a nice match.
For a more casual approach wear it this goldwork and lace skull women’s sweater with black tie belt trousers and black sneakers for an all black look with just the skull and lace popping out, or go for colourful sneakers to make a balanced look.
Here we combined it with our black leather look tie belt women’s shorts and 3/4 bamboo leggings. As a funky styling aspect we used purple knee socks to create a fun layered outfit.
